Women's Golf Competes in First Tournament

In their inaugural tournament as an official varsity sport at Denison University the Big Red's women's golf team placed 11th at the Lady Yellow Jacket Fall Invitational hosted by Baldwin Wallace College at Mallard Creek Golf Course. Denison was led by Allie DeFries who carded a 43 on the front nine and a 47 on the back for a team-best score of 90. Megan Fleming was right behind with a 93 (47,46). Otterbein's Katie Johnson was the tournament medalist with a 78. DU will travel to Harrod, Ohio for the Ohio Northern Invitational next Sunday, Sept. 24.
