Women's Indoor Track & Field: DU Competes at Kenyon/All-Ohio Meets

Denison's women's indoor track and field team made two stops over the weekend, first at the Kenyon Invitational on Friday night where DU tallied 12, top-six performances.

The night's best finish came from freshman Brooke Boening (Harpers Ferry, W.Va./Jefferson) who placed second in the mile with a time of 5:46.25.  Stephanie Dallas (Pepper Pike, Ohio/Orange) followed with a fifth place showing in the mile with a time of 5:55.46.  

Claire Navarro (Seal Beach, Calif./Los Alamitos) placed third in the 200 meter dash in 28.49 and turned in a sixth place finish in the 55 meter dash in 8.06 seconds.  Julie Rotramel (Lexington, Ky./Lafayette) took third in the 1,000 meters and Emily Taylor (Columbus, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson) placed third in the shot put with a throw of 34'1.5".

Kelly McCallin (Canton, Ohio/St. Thomas Aquanis) and Kat Lenhart (Rocky River, Ohio/Magnificat) finished in postitions 4-5, respectivley in the 800 meters while Laura Wogamott placed fifth in the 55 meter hurdles in 9.54 seconds.

In Saturday's Division III All-Ohio Championships from Westerville, Ohio, sophomore Emily Hammeren (Olmsted Falls, Ohio/Olmsted Falls) was DU's top performer, taking eighth place in the pole vault by clearing 9'4.25".
