Women's Indoor Track & Field: Results from Greater Columbus Meet

Sophomore Emily Hammeren (Olmsted Falls, Ohio/Olmsted Falls) cleared 10'6" in the pole vault to take home first place and in the process set a new school record as she helped Denison to a fifth place finish at the Greater Columbus Division III Invitational hosted by Otterbein College.
Other top finishers for Denison included Claire Navarro (Seal Beach, Calif./Los Alamitos) and Amanda Conley (Dublin, Ohio/Columbus Academy) who placed second and fourth in the 200 meter dash. Navarro's time of 28.28 seconds was four-hundredths behind Ashley Shaffer from Ohio Wesleyan.
The victory in the 1,000 meters went to Stephanie Dallas (Pepper Pike, Ohio/Orange) who finished in 3:30.87. Emily Taylor (Columbus, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson) placed sixth in the shot put with a throw of 33'7.25".
Freshman distance runner Brooke Boening (Harpers Ferry, W.Va./Jefferson) took part in the 3,000 meters where she placed seventh with a time of 11:21.93.
