Women's Lacrosse: Denison picked third in NCAC preseason poll

In this season's North Coast Athletic Conference preseason poll the Denison women's lacrosse team was projected to finish in third place.

Returning to the Big Red are first-team all-NCAC defenders Katie Kubasta (Medina, Ohio/Medina) and Bethany Keller (Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington). Aiding the attack this season will be senior Lindsay Howard (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) and junior Sara Langsam (Philadelphia, Pa./Germantown Friends). Langsam recorded 24 points (18 g, 6 a) while Howard notched 22 points (15 g, 7 a). Senior goalie Amanda Wilson (Hudson, Ohio/Western Reserve) also returns to DU for her second season as a starter.

Wooster was tabbed as the favorite to win the regular season title, logging 43 points and four of seven first-place votes. Ohio Wesleyan finished second with two first-place votes and 38 total points while Denison was just one point behind the Battling Bishops with 37 points, including one first-place vote.

The Big Red kicks off their season when they take on Fort Lewis on march 15 in Colorado Springs, Colo. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
