Location: Denison University

GRANVILLE-- The Big Red women's lacrosse team had three players named to the Inside Lacrosse Magazine Division III Preseason All-American squad. Leading the way was two-time All-American and junior goalie Carolyn Hicks (Gates Mills, Ohio/Hawken School) who was named to the second-team. Senior defender Molly Lamdin (Darien, Conn./Darien) and senior midfielder Courtney Abrams (Washington, D.C./Bullis School) earned third-team accolades. In her second-year as a starter Hicks posted a .548 save percentage last year, earned third-team All-America honors and was a NCAC first-team selection. After spending the summer playing with an international team in Australia, she enters this season as a seasoned veteran. Last season's NCAC Defensive Player of the Year, Lamdin is making her first appearance on the All-American squad this year. This is her fourth year as a starter and she is a two-time all-conference first-team selection. Abrams was second on the team in points last year with 34 (26 goals, 8 assists) and has 96 career goals. She was named to the USWLA All-America team last year and she is a three-time All-NCAC first-team pick. Denison will begin their season on March 13 against Gettysburg in Palm Beach County, Fla.
