Women's Lacrosse: Big second half sends Notre Dame past DU

Notre Dame College scored four unanswered goals over a 10 minute period between the first and second half and followed that up with five straight goals to close out a 10-4 victory over the Denison Big Red on Tuesday afternoon in Granville.

Notre Dame's Ashley Rutz score the game's go-ahead goal with 44 seconds left in the first half.  She would go on to score three goals and add three assists for the Falcons.  Gena Mcpherson was the scoring leader with five goals off 8 shots.

Denison's Meg Wilcox posted two scores, running her season total to 13 goals through the first five contests.  Quinn Simmons and Michelle Bennett rounded out the scoring for Denison.

The Big Red was outshot 26-16 and DU goalie Amanda Wilson posted nine saves while Falcon goalie Kylie Flett finished with six saves.  

Denison's next game is April 1 against Oberlin College.
