Women's Lacrosse: O'Neill named NCAC Athlete of the Week

Cassedy O'Neill
First-year attack Cassedy O'Neill (Seattle, Wash./Seattle Prep) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week for women's lacrosse after helping the Big Red to a pair of conference wins over Oberlin and Allegheny.
O'Neill scored one goal in a 19-6 victory over the Yeowomen and followed with a career-high four goals against Allegheny on Saturday, April 25. Against the Gators, O'Neill was the difference maker, thanks to her game-winning goal with 43 seconds left in the game. Thanks to Denison's 14-13 win over Allegheny the Big Red qualified for their 15th consecutive NCAC Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament which will take place on May 1-2 in Wooster, Ohio.
O'Neill and the Big Red are the No. 4 seed in the upcoming conference tournament. They will take on the host, College of Wooster, on Friday (May 1) at 2:30 p.m. in the semifinals. The winner of the Denison-Wooster contest will take on the winner of the Kenyon-Wittenberg semifinal on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Wooster, Ohio.
