Women's Outdoor Track & Field: DU takes fifth at NCAC Championship

Kirby Mosenthal led Denison with a third place finish in the steeplechase on Friday at the NCAC Championships in Delaware, Ohio.

The Big Red women's outdoor track and field team followed up a strong friday performance in field events with six, top-seven finishes.  Denison placed fifth overall with 50 team points.

Denison's top event on Friday was the 3,000 meter steeplechase which saw DU take third, sixth and seventh.  Leading the way in third place was Kirby Mosenthal who crossed in 12:24.64.  Stephanie Dallas and Kathryn McDonnell took sixth and seventh, respectively.  Dallas crossed in 12:57.77 and McDonnell trailed in 13:01.39.

The 4x100 relay team of Courtney Alexander, Ashley Putnam, Amanda Conley and Maggie Snyder took third in 52.26.

Conley also placed fifth in the 100 meter dash by logging a time of 13.69 seconds.

Rounding out Denison's top-finishers was first-year Brooke Boening who took fifth in 19:12.07.
