Women Place Ninth at All-Ohio Division III Outdoor Championships

DELAWARE, Ohio-- Denison University junior Kim Murley (Dalton, Pa./Tunkhannock) set a new All-Ohio Championship record in the 800 meters and earned her NCAA provisional qualifying time after winning the event with an outstanding time of 2:13.67. Denison's other individual champion was sophomore Elaine Binkley (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Watterson) who won the 10,000 meters with a time of 38:24.18. Teammate Ashley Albrecht (Gaithersburg, Md./Magruder) placed fourth in the event with a time of 39:49.07. In the 100 meter hurdles junior Brie Jaquette (McKees Rocks, Pa./Montour) turned in a third place showing in 15.63 seconds. Sophomore Christine Collins (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Chagrin Falls) was the runner-up in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, crossing in 11:20.79. She also reached her NCAA Division III provisional qualifying mark. As a team, Denison placed ninth overall with 39 points and turned in the best showing out of the seven competing North Coast Athletic Conference schools.
