Women's Outdoor Track and Field Results from W&J

The Denison women's outdoor track and field team competed at the non-scoring Washington & Jefferson Invitational on Saturday, April 9. Denison was led by a first place finish by Christine Collins (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Chagrin Falls) in the 3000 meter steeplechase. Collins logged a winning time of 11:28.00 in the event. Following Collins with a second place showing in the 100 meter dash was Amanda Klinger (Toledo, Ohio/Notre Dame Academy). She also placed fifth in the 200 meter dash. Junior Kim Murley (Dalton, Pa./Tunkhannock) placed third in the 1,500 meters and came in fifth in the pole vault, clearing 3.04 meters. First-year Christiana Glenn (Weston, Mass./Weston) finished third in the 800 meters in 2:27.85 and sophomore Leslie Kreinberg (Pepper Pike, Ohio/Orange) turned in a third place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.54 meters. Denison will compete in next weekend's All-Ohio Championships hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University.
