Sarah Ash receives her first-team All-America and Scholar-Athlete All-America award from U.S.A. National team member Lori Chalupny at last weekend's NSCAA Convention in St. Louis, Mo.

The postseason awards for senior women's soccer player Sara Ash (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore) continue to roll in.  The National Soccer Coaches Association of America has named Ash to its Women's College Scholar All-America squad for her achievement in classroom and on the pitch.

A two-time first-team All-American and a second-team ESPN The Magainze Academic All-America selection in 2008, Ash led Denison to their seventh North Coast Athletic Conference championship this season as well as their fourth consecutive NCAA postseason berth.  Since arriving in Granville prior to the 2005 season Ash and the Big Red have posted a record of 60-20-9.  The 2007 NCAC Offensive Player of the Year has scored 24 goals and added 21 assists in 89 career games.

Ash will be presented with her Scholar All-America award along with her first-team All-America plaque at the annual NSCAA convention which is scheduled to take place Jan. 14-18 in St. Louis, Mo.
