Sophomore Jen Clemmer (Hixson, Tenn./Baylor School) scored with 4:34 remaining in the second overtime period to lift the 12th-ranked Denison women's soccer team to a 3-2 victory over Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday night. The win was the Big Red's ninth in a row and kept their conference record unblemished at 6-0.

DU opened the scoring in the third minute when sophomore Kimmi Oshita (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore) scored her team-high 11th goal of the season on an open net goal after a Clemmer had her original shot blocked.

The Battling Bishops tied the game at 1-1 when Allie Cozzone notched an unassisted score in the 24th minute. Cozzone's shot bounced off goalkeeper Courtney Cobb (Sylvania, Ohio/St. Ursula Academy) from 35 yards out.

At the 53:19 mark, Ohio Wesleyan took their only lead of the match, 2-1, when Cozzone notched her second tally of the contest off an assist from Makinzie Kresbach. The duo executed a text book give and go that Cozzone slammed into the left side of the net.

With just under 11 minutes left in regulation, Clemmer had another shot blocked but this time it was junior Anna Rusch (Washington, D.C./Sidwell Friends School) who followed up with the game-tying score. The goal was Rusch's 10th of the year and forced the game into overtime.

After a scoreless first OT session, the Big Red was able to find the back of the net when senior Sarah Ash (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore) sent a pass to Clemmer who scored the game-winner at the top of the 18.

Denison outshot OWU 26-18 with 17 over the Big Red's shots coming in the second half. Cobb ended the contest with eight saves while Bishops' goalie Laura VanHoey made nine stops.

Denison is now 13-2-1 on the season and will play their final two matches of the year at Barclay-Thomsen Field. DU returns to action on Wednesday (Oct. 29) when they take on Wittenberg at 7 p.m.
