Kim Oshita has scored five of the Big Red's seven goals in 2008.

The Denison Big Red will return home from Rochester, N.Y. with a 3-0 record following a 2-0, shutout victory over 17th ranked William Smith on Sunday morning at Nazareth College.

Denison, ranked 19th in the latest NSCAA/adidas coaches poll, should get a bump in this week's rankings following their win today.

The match was scoreless until the 38th minute when sophomore Kim Oshita (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore) took a pass from Julie Dean (Liberty Twp., Ohio/Mt. Notre Dame) and converted for her fourth goal of the season.  Things would remain tight, with both teams getting multiple shots on goal until late in the second half when Oshita struck again.

This time it would be senior forward Sarah Ash (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore) who found her former high school teammate, Oshita, for her fifth goal of the young season.

DU would outshoot the Herons 18-8.  Nine of those 18 shots for the Big Red were on-goal.  Junior goalkeeper Courtney Cobb (Sylvania, Ohio/St. Ursula) posted five saves for the Big Red while Alexandra Chase recorded seven saves for William Smith.

Denison improves to 3-0 while the Herrons drop to 2-1.  The Big Red will host Mount Union College on Wednesday (Sept. 10) at 7 p.m.
