Denison University junior forward Sarah Ash (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore) was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas Division III All-America first-team after leading the Big Red to a 14-6-2 record while tying for the team lead in points with 17.

This marked the first All-America selection for Ash who becomes the seventh NSCAA All-American under 11 year head coach Gail Murphy. She started all 22 games for the Big Red in 2007 and has played in 68 career contests, scoring 17 goals and 13 assists.  Ash was named the North Coast Athletic Conference's Offensive Player of the Year in November and also joined two of her teammates on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District squad after posting a 3.66 grade point average as a Spanish and psychology double major.

Accompanying Ash's conference player of the year honor was her first, first-team All-NCAC selection after two second-team awards in 2005 and 2006.

The Denison women's soccer program has advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament in each of the last three seasons and has achieved 11 NCAA postseason berths, overall.  In 2005 the Big Red advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals (round of 8) and came back strong in 2006 with a trip to the round of 16.  They have notched eight NCAA postseason victories in program history and boast a .753 winning percentage under Murphy.
