The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has announced their Scholar Athlete All-America and All-Region squads along with their All-Great Lakes Region squad and Denison has as strong presence on all three lists.

On the heels of her All-America selection in December, junior Sarah Ash (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore) joined an elite few by being named both a first-team All-American and a first-team Scholar-Athlete All-America by the NSCAA.  Ash led the 14-6-2 Big Red to their 11th NCAA Tournament berth and was named the North Coast Athletic Conference's Offensive Player of the Year.

Senior defender Kim Cochran (Upper Arlington, Ohio/Upper Arlington), the 2006 NCAC Defensive Player of the Year and a four-time all-conference selection, was named to the Scholar All-East Region honorable mention list and Ash was named to the third team.  The all-region list is comprised of the top student-athletes from Division I, II, III and the NAIA.  At the Scholar All-America level it is split into two groups (university and college).

The final honor announced by the NSCAA was their All-Great Lakes region team which saw Ash earn first team honors and senior goalkeeper Liz Gillette (Chardon, Ohio/NDCL) pick up second-team accolades.  A two-time NSCAA All-American, Gillette is a three-time All-NCAC selection and has posted a 0.63 career goals against average in 85 contests.

The Denison women's soccer program has advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament in each of the last three seasons and has achieved 11 NCAA postseason berths, overall.  In 2005 the Big Red advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals (round of 8) and came back strong in 2006 with a trip to the round of 16.  They have notched eight NCAA postseason victories in program history and boast a .753 winning percentage under Murphy.
