Women's Soccer: Denison Gets Back in Win Column vs. Wooster
Kim Cochran helped the Big Red to their 10th victory of the season.

Denison outshot The College of Wooster 17-9 and made good the the match's lone goal in the 47th minute to defeat the Fighting Scots 1-0 on Wednesday afternoon in Wooster.
With the two squads locked in a scoreless tie, junior Sarah Ash (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore) sent her fifth goal of the season sailing past Scot goalkeeper Abby Brown with just under 43 minutes left in the second half. Ash attempted the shot from just outside the box after taking a pass from sophomore Julie Dean (Liberty Township, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame). The assist was Dean's first of the season.
Anna Rusch (Washington, D.C./Friends) led the team with five shots while Ash followed with four. Senior goalkeeper Liz Gillette (Chardon, Ohio/NDCL) made two saves for the Big Red while Brown posted four saves in goal for Wooster.
The victory for the 24th ranked Big Red improves their record to 10-4-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference. They have three regular season matches left on their 2007 schedule with two of them set to be played at Barclay-Thomsen Field. On Saturday (Oct. 20) at 7 p.m. they will host Ohio Wesleyan.
