The Denison University Softball program will be hosting the 2009 Skills Clinic on Sunday, November 15th at the Mitchell Athletic Center on the campus of Denison University.

Clinic participants will receive hands on instruction as they rotate through multiple offensive and defensive stations.  Each station is designed to improve each aspect of their game.  Participants can sign up for one of the two clinics offered.  Skills I is the morning session designed for the younger player (ages 9-12) who is seeking basic fundamental development. The Skills II camp is designed for more advanced players (ages 13-18).  Each participant will be given top notch instruction in the areas of hitting, fielding (instruction will be position specific) and base running.  Pitching and catching will be included in this clinic.

Head Coach Tiffany Ozbun and assistant coach Scott Pohlman will lead the instruction of the Skills Clinic.  Members of the 2010 Denison Softball Team will also be assisting in the instruction.

Karen Marr, pitching coach at the University of Louisville, will be leading all pitching instruction.  Marr has coached a number of All-Big East Conference selections, as well as two All-Region players during her six years with the Cardinals.  Prior to her time at Louisville, Marr was the National Battery Development Coach for the Australian Softball Federation.

The cost is $75 for session one and $85 for session two.  All participants will receive a Denison Softball Skills Clinic t-shirt.
