Olivia Zaleski (L) and Kate Rich (R) led the Big Red to a third-straight NCAC Relay title.

The Denison women's swimming & diving team captured five event championships and broke two meet records en route to their third-consecutive victory at the North Coast Athletic Conference Relays hosted by Denison University and Kenyon College.  The Big Red totaled 188 team points while second-place Kenyon accumulated 158 points.

Olivia Zaleski (Corry, Pa./Corry Area) and Kate Rich (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) swan on both record-breaking relays to lead the Big Red.

Denison starting the day off on the right foot by setting a new NCAC Relay meet record in the 200 yard medley relay.  The foursome comprised of Zaleski, Gail Blachly (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central), Rich and Alyssa Swanson (Aurora, Colo./Regis Jesuit) touched in at a time of 1:47.49.

The team of Zaleski, Swanson, Rich and Laurel Brabson (Boonsboro, Md./Boonsboro) followed that up with a record-breaking performance in the 200 yard butterfly relay.  The group finished in a time of 1:46.45, just 52-hundredths of a second faster then the previous record.

While the swimmers were busy competing at the Kenyon Athletic Center in Gambier, Denison's divers were competing at Gregory Pool in Granville.  The team of Sammie Salas (Fairfax, Va./Robinson Secondary) and Lizzie Litwak (Loudonville, N.Y./Albany Academy for Girls) swept the diving events for the Big Red.  DU totaled 326.55 points in the one-meter and 346.85 points in the three-meter diving.  Salas also took home the three-meter crown with 177.85 points

Complete results of the event can be viewed at the link below.  Denison will compete again next Saturday (Oct. 31) when half of the squad remains in Granville to take on Oberlin while the other half hits the road to challenge Ohio Wesleyan.  Both meets begin at 1 p.m.
