Women's Tennis: Big Red move to Sunday's semifinal round with win over Wooster

The Denison women's tennis team advanced to the semifinals of the 2009 North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament on Saturday following a 5-0 victory over The College of Wooster.
At No. 1 doubles Denison's Meghan Damico and Kendra Murray defeated Kelsey Jenkins and Elissa Lauber, 8-0. At second doubles Sarah Short and Erin Chadwell earned a 8-0 win while Maggie Colvin and Courtney Steiner prevailed 8-1 at third doubles.
Needing just two more singles wins to pick up the decision, those would come from Short at No. 4 singles and Marta Drane in the second flight.
Denison will take on Oberlin College on Sunday (April 26) at 11 a.m. with the winner advancing to the NCAC Championship at 3 p.m.
