Denison Tennis Players Eliminated from NCAA Individual Championships

Denison's Meghan Damico advanced to the round of 16 in the 2007 NCAA women's tennis championships after an opening round victory over Alicia Menezes of Amherst but fell to Middlebury's Amy Roche in the second round.

Damico suffered a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 loss to Roche but topped Menezes 6-3, 7-6.

In St. Louis, Mo., Denison's doubles team of Randy Lofgren and Kevin Newman suffered a 6-3, 7-5 loss to Emory's Michael Goodwin and Yoji Masuoka. Lofgren and Newman were competing in the 16-team championship for the second consecutive season.
