Women's Tennis: Denison picks up key conference win over Kenyon
Meghan Damico improved her record to 6-1 versus regionally ranked opponents in 2008.

The No. 6 ranked Denison Women's tennis team picked up a critical North Coast Athletic Conference victory over 21st ranked Kenyon College on Wednesday afternoon in Gambier, Ohio.
Denison topped the Ladies 7-2 thanks to a sweep in doubles play and singles victories by Meghan Damico (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel), Kristin Cobb (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood), Kara Zdanowski (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) and Kendra Murray (Kirkwood, Mo./Kirkwood).
Damico dispatched regionally ranked Paige MadDonald 6-0, 6-2 to improve to 10-3 on the year. Damico is 6-1 versus regionally ranked opponents in 2008.
At No. 2 singles Cobb blanked Meredith Brown 6-0, 6-0, Zdanowski topped Eva Ceja 6-1, 6-2 and Murray handled Alexis Marino 6-3, 6-0 at No. 5 singles.
The win improves Denison's record to 11-3 and runs their winning streak to a season-high seven matches. DU's last four wins have all come against nationally ranked opponents.
