The Denison volleyball team opened up Friday night's match with a 25-23 victory over Allegheny College. However, the Gators rebounded to win the next three games (25-14, 25-16, 28-26) and complete the season sweep over the Big Red.

Freshman Lauren Strowder (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) led the team with 11 kills and four blocks.  Holly Leonard (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Twp.) posted 39 digs and Ali Trotter (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin) and Claire Koneval (Solon, Ohio/Solon) combined for 53 assists from the setter position.

The loss drops DU's record to 6-16 overall and 3-7 in the North Coast Athletic Conference.

Denison returns to action on Tuesday (Oct. 21) when they host NCAC foe Earlham College at 7 p.m.
