Volleyball: Strowder earns NCAC Player of the Week honors

Denison sophomore outside hitter Lauren Strowder (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) was named North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week in volleyball after helping the Big Red to a pair of conference wins last week.
In the 2-1 week, she posted 16 kills in a 3-1 victory over OWU, 10 kills in a straight-set win over Kenyon and 15 kills in a four-game setback at Oberlin. Strowder's 3.09 kills per game ranks third in the conference, while her .306 attack percentage is fifth in the league. As a team, the Big Red lead the NCAC in kills per game (11.20), assists per game (10.78), and attacking percentage (.217).
DU returns to the court on Wednesday (Oct. 14) when they host seventh-ranked and NCAC leading Wittenberg University. Match time from Livingston Gymnasium is scheduled for 7 p.m.
