Volleyball: Bishops Top Denison, 3-1 in Delaware

Ohio Wesleyan defeated the Big Red volleyball team 3-1 (30-28, 30-21, 24-30, 30-25) on Saturday at Branch Rickey Arena.
Denison was led by senior Kelsey Bruce (Upper Arlington, Ohio/Upper Arlington) and junior Kasia Kucharski (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Ready) who both finished with 22 kills for the Big Red. Bruce is only 11 kills away from reaching the 1,000 kill plateau for her career. Kucharski is leading the team in kills in 2007 with 303 in 79 games.
Holly Leonard (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Twp.) paced DU in digs with 38 and junior setter Ali Trotter (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin) posted 62 assists.
Denison is 10-12 on the year and 4-7 in the North Coast Athletic Conference. Their next game is Wednesday (Oct. 24) at Oberlin College.
