Otterbein College scored two first half goals and held off a hard-charging Denison squad over the final 45 minutes of play to advance to the third round of the 2008 NCAA Division III women's soccer tournament with a 2-0 victory from Westerville, Ohio.

Freshman Angela Coderre's goal in the 44th minute combined with an impressive performance by the defense lifted the 19th-ranked Denison women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Centre College in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament on Saturday in Westerville, Ohio.

After 85 minutes of scoreless soccer the College of Wooster broke through when Kate Kiley chipped in a rebounded ball off the crossbar, sending the Fighting Scots past Denison in the semifinals of the 2008 North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament.

The 12th-ranked Denison women's soccer team clinched their seventh outright North Coast Athletic Conference regular season title with a 2-1 victory over league rival Wittenberg University at Barclay-Thomsen Field on Wednesday night. Sophomore Kimmi Oshita's two goals lifted the Big Red to their 10th straight win.

Sophomore Jen Clemmer scored with 4:34 remaining in the second overtime period to lift the 12th-ranked Denison women's soccer team to a 3-2 victory over Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday night. The win was the Big Red's ninth in a row and kept their conference record unblemished at 6-0.

The Denison women's soccer team defeated Centre College, 1-0 on Saturday in the first round of the 2008 NCAA Division III Championship Tournament but suffered a 2-0 loss to Otterbein in Sunday's second round.  Denison's season comes to an end with a 15-5-1 record.
