| History: |
Named for William P. Huffman, a third-generation member of his family to serve as a Denison trustee, the hall was designed by Gilbert Seltzer and built in 1960. It is Georgian Revival style in red brick and stone and houses upper-class men and women in substance-free doubles, triples and suites. On the lower floors are a 700-seat dining hall and the Bandersnatch, a student-run coffee house and social space that had its earliest version in the now razed Colwell House. Begun in 1968, "the Snatch" moved to Huffman Hall in 1987. |
