Use: It is home to eight academic departments - Black Studies, Education, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Religion, Sociology/Anthropology, and Women's Studies.

History: Knapp Hall was the last of 15 major buildings constructed on campus during the presidency of A. Blair Knapp (1951-1968) and was named in his honor when he died unexpectedly of a heart attack before construction was completed. It is home to eight academic departments - Black Studies, Education, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Religion, Sociology/Anthropology, and Women's Studies.
