Lilly Program
Identity, Intellect, and Life Choices
Program Directors
Faculty Co-Director, Timothy P. Hofmeister
Chaplain Co-Director, Mark R. Orten
The Lilly Program provides opportunities for students in various settings to reflect upon their career paths and the relationship between their plans and personal values. Additionally, professional careers in religion may be explored, such as taking a trial year at seminary. Through campus-wide events, such as symposia and lectures, faculty, staff and students can experience reflection on vocation through the Lilly Program.
"We envision our students' lives as based upon rational choice, a firm belief in human dignity and compassion unlimited by cultural, racial, sexual, religious or economic barriers, and directed toward an engagement with the central issues of our time."
"While our students pursue specialized learning in their chosen majors, they also develop the framework for an integrated intellectual life, spiritually and morally informed."
