Associate Director of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation Lynn Schweizer enters the 2008-09 academic year with 35 years of experience in the Denison University Athletics Department. Currently, she is the the Director of Intramurals and Club Sports and serves as the Athletic Director Liaison to the Student Athlete Advisory Council and swimming and diving throughout the conference.

Schweizer represented the department on various committees throughout the past several years including the Athletic Health Education Committee, Department Evaluation Committee, Facilities Committee, Teacher Education Committee, Academic Integrity Board, Campus Affairs Council, and serves as the department liasion to the Student Athletic Advisory Council. Schweizer is also active in the community serving as the chair of the Licking County Red Cross Water Safety Committee and co-chair of the hospital Twig 19 Book Sale.

Part of Schweizer's administrative role has included serving on many committees to further develop and improve not only athletics program and facilities but the educational aspect, as well. Some committees include Athletic Health Education committee, departmental curriculum committee, department evaluation committee, facilities planning and athletic hall of fame committee.

Schweizer has taught a wide variety of courses in the department including History, Philosophy and Principles of Physical Education, Health and Sport, Coaching Practicum and the Welsh Hills School Teaching Practicum. As an American Red Cross instructor she trains students in First Aid, CPR and Lifeguard Training.

Earning her undergraduate degree in Physical Education and Health from Ohio University in 1971, Schweizer went on to receive her M.A. in Physical Education from The Ohio State University in 1980.

Lynn Schweizer currently resides in Granville with her husband, Bob, and daughter, Amy.
