After School Drama
Members of ASDC travel to community schools and teen centers weekly to teach improvisation and theater games to children in need of a healthy outlet for expression. By working to supplement arts curricula, we help to open the kids' imaginations to new, creative ways to learn and think, helping them in their everyday lives. Through these activities and by developing strong relationships with positive role models, the children gain self confidence. No theater experience is necessary; the only requirements are an open mind, energetic body, and two hours a week.
Meeting Times: We have full club meetings approximately once a month for continuing training and generation of new ideas. These are usually held in Burke Blackbox Theater on Sunday afternoons.
Location: Yes clubhouse in Newark
