DCA Committees

Most of the service work that occurs on campus takes place through a DCA committee. DCA committees volunteer in a variety of different organizations, and each committee is unique in the issues they focus on and the ways in which they volunteer. Below is a list of all DCA Committees broken down into focus areas by service topic. Select each topic to view what issues it entails and which committees address those areas. Anyone is able to join a DCA committee at any time, whether that's halfway through the year or during the involvement fair. If you are interested in joining, follow the committee links to view more information about the committee and to contact this years committee chairs.

+ Mentoring And Companionship

These volunteers work with both children and adults in the community.

+ Societal Outreach and Engagement

These groups deal with issues directly impacting society including housing, hunger, disease and relief efforts.

Not sure which committee is right for you? If you aren't sure exactly what you'd like to participate in and would like to discuss options with the Alford Center staff, please stop by the Alford Center for Service Learning in the basement of Higley Hall. We'd be happy to provide you with more information and work to find the right match for your interests.
