LEADS Swimming
LEADS is the name given to federal anti-poverty agencies in Licking County. The LEADS Center in Buckeye Lake serves some of the poorest families in the county. Denison students have developed a swimming program for the children of LEADS families in Buckeye Lake. Denison students bring the children to Mitchell on Sundays for swimming lessons and a snack. You needn't be a swimmer to participate, you just need to enjoy hanging out with kids and be willing to learn about lives much different from yours.
We are always looking for volunteers with their Defensive Driver's Licenses to help with transportation to and from the pool! Please contact Katie if you are interested in driving for us, or joining us at the pool.
Meeting Times: Sundays, 1:30 - 3:00
