Nursing Home Companions
We visit a low income, rural nursing home in nearby Kirkersville. Our group of dedicated volunteers visits weekly with the residents, plays bingo, makes crafts and sings karaoke. Denison students form strong bonds with the nursing home residents and many continue to act as penpals to the residents over school breaks and during the summer. Also, we even bring the residents to campus for such school events as the Homecoming football game. If you are looking for a fun, relaxing, and rewarding service experience, then we're the group for you!
Location: Pine Kirk Nursing Home
Meeting Times: Mondays 6:00 -8:00pm (Meet in P1 by security)
