Student Global Aids Campaign

Our goals: Fund the Fight, Treat the People, Drop the Debt, Stop the Spread. The Denison University chapter of Student Global AIDS Campaign (SGAC) is part of a national movement comprised of 85 chapters at schools throughout the U.S. Our mission is to work collectively in order to bring an end to the AIDS pandemic. Our actions focus on making pharmaceutical companies and government officials recognize and fight against the AIDS crisis. We participate in coordinated national SGAC events, including: educating students about AIDS and how we all can fight this disease, lobbying legislators, letters-to-the-editor campaigns, phone calls to our government officials on HIV/AIDS legislation, signature gathering for petitions that demand the 42 million people living with HIV/AIDS get access to treatment and participating in SGAC conferences.
