Mental Health Connection

The Mental Health Connection is a committee that works closely with both The Main Place and Excel Academy. Students at The Main Place work with people who have “severe and persistent mental illness” doing such things as photography, poetry, dancing and watching movies. At Excel Academy, volunteers work in a school-based program with adolescents with behavioral issues. The volunteers engage the students in leisure activities like sports, games and movies.
