Getting Around

To help students feel safe on campus, Denison University has instituted the Security Escort Program. The program is supervised by Campus Security and utilizes students, providing a walking escort service for student residents from the academic quad to residence halls and other areas of campus. This service is also available to staff and faculty upon request.

Denison students also have the opportunity to travel away from campus for movies, dining, shopping, travel and more, using one of two campus-run shuttle services provided by the Campus Services Office support staff. The Big Red Express provides service for students to Columbus and surrounding areas on a tri-weekly basis; every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. The Big Red Airport shuttle is operated on a fixed schedule basis inline with holiday break periods.

To use either shuttle service, you must pre-register for a seat. This service is provided for Denison University students only.

 

Shuttle Transportation

  • Big Red Express Shuttle -- Round trip shuttles are offered to students for weekly trips to Columbus area businesses.

  • Big Red Airport Shuttle -- Seasonal trips to Port Columbus for Thanksgiving, Winter Break, and Spring Break are offered on a pre-registration basis only. Please register to reserve your place for these shuttle services by stopping by the Campus Services office in Slayter Hall, Suite 200.
