Denison's Greek Governing Councils & Chapters

The fraternity and sorority community operates in a self-governance model, led by four governing councils. The councils exist to govern and program for the fraternity/sorority organizations and their members. The goal of the councils is development, structure, continued improvement, and enhancement for approximately 700 affiliated students on campus. The official councils and chapters at Denison University are listed below.

• National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) -- Governing council for the nine historically Black/African-American Greek-lettered organizations overseen by the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC).

• Panhellenic Council (PHC) -- Governing council for the inter/nationally affiliated women's organizations overseen by the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC).

• Interfraternity Council (IFC) -- Governing council for the inter/national affiliate men's organizations overseen by the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) in addition to men's organizations at Denison unaffiliated with an inter/national governing body.
