Purpose Statement:
Nursing Home Companions is an organization through which volunteers make weekly visits to a local nursing home where elderly, physically disabled, and low-income residents reside. Aside from getting to know residents through activities like bingo and arts and crafts, genuine friendships develop between volunteers and residents when they talk and share stories with each other.
