Supporting comments: "Jon has been a vital part of not just the IFC executive board this past year, but of his fraternity as well. The men of Delta Upsilon look to Jon as a role model, as a voice of reason, and as someone they can count on in all aspects of their life. Jon played a key role in the Academic Luncheons that are quickly becoming a Greek tradition. Initially started as a Panhellenic program, Jon quickly challenged the men and persuaded IFC to become fully involved in the program. Within Delta Upsilon, Jon has managed to develop such strong ties with his brothers that he can work through situations and confront them about issues as I have seldom seen an undergraduate do. Someone asked him why the brothers always heed his advice, and he simply replied, "Because they're my friends." In the Music Department, Jon has been a great section leader and principal violist, guiding younger violists through each piece and setting a great tone for the rehearsals. Again, his personality was a huge asset to our ensemble where his attentiveness and inquisitiveness helped create a great atmosphere for learning. Jonathan's contributions to the musical climate of Denison will be sorely missed."
