Supporting comments: "Pankil continues to be impressive on a daily basis with his leadership qualities, his thoughtful approach to every situation, and his willingness to tackle difficulties head on. As a student caller in the Alumni Office, he answered varied and sometimes difficult questions while maintaining the college's position on multiple issues in a pleasant and effective manner. In his duties as a student manager, Pankil trains new callers, acts as a resource person, and motivates and evaluates callers. His responsibilities include recruiting, training, and managing five student callers for a calling program that raises $600,000-plus for the college. Having the right balance of professionalism, humor, and understanding, he excels in all of these responsibilities. As is true of any good leader, Pankil commands the respect of his peers. As a Peer International Student Advisor, he has volunteered to mentor students rising through the ranks of various organizations. His commitments to cultural exchange, development of community and involvement in campus life have never wavered. Pankil as an example of a student who has many of the most important qualities inherent in a successful leader: confidence, charisma, vision and the skills and foresight to garner support and respect from his peers and the community at-large."
