Supporting comments: "Sarah's creative abilities have been a gift to DCA. Under Sarah's leadership, our booklet was re-designed, new committees were added to DCA, and new recruits were brought in through the Denison Service Orientation program, which Sarah led for two years with spirit and skill. Sarah is thoughtful, analyzing her fellow students to learn how they are best motivated, and how that translates into helping them get involved in community service. She was part of a team of students who put together the Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week this past semester, an event which truly engaged our students and the community. As the chair of Bread for the World, she added local service at a food pantry to the ongoing advocacy work on global hunger. With a surplus of care and charm she has kept organizations moving forward. I think she was one of the best June orientation Coordinators I have witnessed. There was a spirit of mutuality among staff which is uncommon; her interpersonal skills were largely responsible for that. And she related as endearingly to parents as to entering students. Her legacy is goodwill and a level of caring which is remarkable and enduring. She represents student leadership at its best."
