Supporting comments: "Chris leads by establishing broad relations and bringing people together. Under Chris's gentle and wise leadership, Denison Religious Understanding has established weekly meetings with 15-30 people in regular attendance. He creates a tone of deep regard and mutual learning. An active participant in music programs, such as Gospel Choir and the bluegrass band, students know Chris as a fun person at alternative kinds of social events and in the Bandersnatch. Chris organized the Denison Religious Understanding program that has brought increasing numbers of students together to explore each others religious traditions, to authenticate their own religious commitments while affirming what we have in common and affirm the values of others. His ability to reach out to others and to create a common forum for inter-religious dialogue is outstanding. As we move toward a more diverse and international student body, Chris is an ideal model for the type of students we want at Denison. He brings great strength and humanity to Denison."
