Supporting comments: "In her work with the Denison Lecture Series, Jen has helped coordinate disparate interests, personalities, and agendas, and has brought fascinating speakers to campus in the process. A most reliable and active member of the Judicial Council, Jen has served as the Co-Chair many times, often in very serious cases. The quality of her work on the Council is unmatched; she is always well prepared for each case, listens carefully, asks excellent questions, and is a fierce deliberator. The lasting impact of Jen's involvement on campus is important, but subtle. Her work with the Judicial Council is necessarily private, and much of her work with DLS is largely "behind the scenes." So, while much of what Jen does not have a high profile on campus, she is contributing substantively to the intellectual life of the campus and she is vigilant in interpreting and upholding community standards. Her ability to quickly organize facts into logical patterns, take in multiple perspectives, and formulate a reasonable conclusion make her a strong and respected Judicial Council chair and member. Perhaps the most important and possibly the most invisible legacy Jen leaves is her constant commitment to justice and fairness...she always has been careful to balance accountability and compassion for students involved in the judicial process."
