Supporting comments: "Since his first volunteer days at Denison, he quickly demonstrated leadership qualities and was elected to the Denison Community Association Cabinet. He was always there for the big projects that required hands-on leadership, even when others shrank back. In a group discussion where there are more ideas than agreement, Ryan is the master of compromise. He often led our cabinet out of the morass of too many opinions into a place where they could all agree on a course of action. He has a presence and an individuality that draws people to him. He is most definitely a leader among the Senior Interviewer group. When Ryan works, I always know the group will be upbeat and energized. He inspires the group by his genuine enthusiasm. In an age where many college seniors turn to alcohol as a way to let loose, Ryan is very comfortable being alcohol free. Others know his stance, and respect it. Yet, he is still the life of the party. He is intelligent, kind, eloquent, caring, highly motivated and friendly. He has a tremendous wit. Ryan has taken advantage of every opportunity and will be a shining example of the best we can produce."
