Supporting comments: "She is very well known among her peers for a host of activities outside the classroom. Almost single handedly, she has kept Agape as an engaging outlet for minority students, she showed great initiative in organizing the Martin Luther King, Jr. Convocation and she always is present when help is needed or requested. Stephanie is among the most active students on campus for engaging in multi-racial, multi-ethnic experiences. She sets an example in her fortitude and initiative to try to bring already existing groups together. Stefanie's assigned service in her class was at The Main Place, a drop-in center for people with chronic mental illnesses and developmental disabilities. After the class ended, Stefanie approached the DCA Cabinet and proposed to start a new committee that would serve The Main Place. Her commitment to that site has been unflagging. The men and women at The Main Place know Stefanie, look forward to seeing her, and will miss her when she graduates! Her impact on those folks will always be remembered. Stefanie leads by example. She is not a "member of the crowd." Her positive attitude and participation in DCA chairs meetings have made it a richer organization."
