Supporting comments: "I have never met a student more interested in the school's esprit de corps. As her advisor I have viewed her willingness to actually apply the lessons she has learned in communication to help create a greater sense of community. Chelsey is willing to take on the "dirty work" of day-to-day organization and communication in order to offer her community a greater sense of unity and a richer, more spirited set of experiences. She stepped in as D-Day chair and was a voice of reason and a steady force. If only all of our students and colleagues planned ahead as she does! Even suffering from mono during the D-Day show this year, she remained connected with her committee, being positive and supportive of their work, and leading even from her lawn chair in the balcony of the Mitchell Center. Chelsey's leadership style is subtle, yet commanding. She often was in the action in a way that only the best leaders can be - silently and invisibly."
