Supporting comments: "Lauren has been active in everything from June Orientation, to Admissions, to sports, to Kappa Alpha Theta, to Relay for Life, to governance and the record shows that she was not a passive participant. In fact, she is high energy in everything she does. One might say she gives the term 'engaged' deeper and richer meaning! In her first two years she was among our top women swimmers, having been named Outstanding Freshman swimmer in 02-03, MVP in 03-04 and Third-Team Academic All-America that same year. She studied abroad in England her junior year. Her honors and scholarships constitute a long list in which her academic and leadership abilities have been widely recognized. She has a delightful and self-deprecating sense of humor and a becoming modesty that makes it easy for students to instantly like her. She is passionate about the well being of others and willing to devote long hours to empower them and enable them to do their best."
