Supporting comments: "Sarah's contributions to the design of Quest helped to shape what has been widely regarded as an invaluable part of the process of career discernment for sophomores at Denison. But, more individuals both on and off campus likely know Sarah for her passionate promotion of awareness, advocacy and fundraising activities for those who have cancer. Two years ago, Sarah was the chair of the 'ceremonies' sub-committee for Relay for Life. She put together two impressive ceremonies, as well as coordinated a banquet for local cancer survivors. As the current Chair of Denison's Relay for Life organization, Sarah has helped ensure that this worthwhile event will continue to grow into a regular part of Denison's campus culture. Planning, coordinating and implementing an all-night, all-campus event that works with 10 different subcommittees that raises more than $60,000 dollars is an enormous undertaking. Sarah's commitment and dedication for the fight against cancer affects each of us. Beyond her work on campus, she volunteers at the James Cancer Center in Columbus. The impact of her presence on young children whose lives have been impacted by cancer is immeasurable and lasting."
