Supporting comments: "As a student, Andy is responsible, capable, a hard worker, one who both asks and answers questions, and has a very positive influence in the classroom. He is always willing to help other students by discussing his own approaches to problems with them. In his fraternity, Lambda Chi Alpha, he was instrumental in changing the 'Big Brother' selection process and revamping the education program to be more inclusive of the entire chapter. Other related activities included working to have more learning experiences with ritual and enhancing the chapter's understanding of it. Toward this purpose, Andy wrote a ceremony and had a formal dinner to recognize Dr. Woodyard for his long service to the chapter. As Interfraternity Council vice president, Andy essentially re-created every major program from scratch. Everything he did, each project he approached, he did guided by the creed and principles which guide Lambda Chi Alpha."
