Supporting comments: "As a leader in the Denison University Recycling Program (DURP), Breanna helped to establish a schedule for student workers which maximized their productivity and worked closely with the campus Health and Safety Officer to provide safety training for all student workers. Both programs continue to be used by the university. Her commitment to the vision, 'Reduce, Recycle and Reuse,' helped establish ground work for a program that will last for years to come. As the Garden of Hope's summer coordinator, Breanna was responsible for the daily management of the garden. This included organizing the day's work schedule, mentoring teenage girls from the Licking County court system, and giving food to a local food bank. She took on the additional role of supervising four interns and served as the main liaison with the City of Newark. Breanna's work with the Garden of Hope solidified the daily management and productivity of the project and her superb leadership has helped to insure the continuing success of the Garden of Hope."
